Remove Finally Posted

Explanation

When the work task transaction/cost line is marked as finally posted, it will no longer be included when transferring work task transactions and no longer be evaluated for reposting. Even if the work task is reopened, the finally posted check box is not removed. This makes it possible to reopen older work tasks without starting a reposting process. The finally posted check box can manually be removed from the work task. Doing so will affect all connected work task transactions of that work task.

It is also possible to manually set the finally posted flag.

Prerequisites

• The finally posted check box must be ticked on the work task (all connected work task transactions must be finally posted).
• If the work task is in status Finished, it has to be reopened.

System Effects

• As a result of this activity, the finally posted check is removed from each work task transaction, cost line and work task.
• Work task transactions will be included when transferring work task transactions to finance, and will be evaluated if reposting is needed.
• Once the finally posted check is removed, it is possible to set the check box by using the option Set as Finally Posted, found on the work task.

Procedure

1. Open the Work Task or Work Tasks window.
2. Right-Click and select the Remove Finally Posted option.
3. Optionally, set the finally posted flag by selecting Set as Finally Posted option.
