Pick with Difference

Explanation

This activity is used to pick selected items on a pick list. Pick lists are used to retrieve items from the inventory. Picking with difference is useful when you cannot pick the full quantity of some of the lines of the pick list.

Prerequisites

The pick list must be in either the Released or Printed status.

System Effects

• The selected items on the pick list are set to the Picked status.
• If the part to be issued is auto-repairable, a repair work order is created.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to Print the Picklist with Differences using the Work Task window, Prepare Work Order window or the Work Order Structure window:

1. Depending on the selected window, query for the relevant work task or work order (F3).
2. Click the Materials tab and select the relevant material requisition.
3. Right-click and click View Pick List. The Pick Lists window is opened.
4. Select the row, right click and click Pick with Difference. The Report Picking of Pick List Lines window appears.
5. In the table, enter the number of items you want to pick in the Quantity Picked field corresponding to the item that you want to pick.
6. Click Report Picking.

Note: The activity can also be performed in the Pick List window, as well as in the Prepare Work Order window by right-click on the upper part of the window and follow the described procedure.
