Issue Parts to Repair

Explanation

This activity is used to issue a part for repair when a material line for the repair part is created on a work order connected to a component repair order. Further this action is used to issue a part for repair when the material line is initiated from Create Repair Work Order Assistant to repair serial objects or serial/non-serial parts.
Issuing a part can be done after the connected work task is released.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, a released work task created from a component repair order or repair work order assistant must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity,

• The part is issued to the work order to be repaired.
• Transactions with transaction code WOREPISS (Issue Parts to Repair on Work Task)  will be made and work task cost lines will be created.
• A return line will automatically be created as well.

Procedure

1. Open the Work Task window, Prepare Work Order window or the Report In Work Order window and click the Materials tab.
2. Click the Materials tab.
3. In the lower table, select the repair part line, right-click and click Issue Part to Repair.
