Define Tool/Equipment Demands

Explanation

This activity is used to define tool/equipment resources required to perform a specific work task. One or more Tool/equipment demands can be stated on a task. These demands can either be defined only with a Resource Groups or as Resource along with the Resource Group.

Prerequisites

• Resources and/or Resource Groups must have been defined and connected to each other in Resource Navigator and have connections for the work task site.
• Resources and/or Resource Groups should be compatible to use in Maintenance.
   

System Effects

As a result of this activity, demand lines with Demand type Tool/Equipment will be connected to the task.

Procedure

1. Open Prepare Work Order/Work Tasks/Resources or Work Task/Resources window.
2. Click the Demands tab and create a new record.
3. In the Demand Type field select Tool/Equipment.
4. Use the list of values to select the appropriate Resource Group and/or Resource.
5. Define the quantity planned.
6. Enter the Sales part site and Sales part if the price need to be invoiced to the customer.
7. In the Remark field enter internal information related to the work task.
