Create Pick List
Explanation
Use this activity to create a pick list for inventory parts needed for the
work order. A pick list contains detailed information on an inventory part, such
as: name, quantity and date required, and inventory location.
Pick lists can be created for a single material requisition, a single work
order (multiple material requisitions) or for multiple work orders. To make sure
that the material is available for the work order, you need to reserve it. Once
material is added to a pick list, it cannot be issued from the pick list source
(e.g., work order, material requisition line). Instead, issuing material can be
performed through the pick list.
Prerequisites
- The inventory part must have been connected to
the work order and reserved in the
Work Task/Materials tab or the
Prepare Work Order/Materials tab.
- The required
quantity of the inventory part must be available in inventory.
- When creating pick lists from a maintenance material requisition, the
requisition must be in the Released status.
- When creating pick lists for multiple work orders,
all the work orders should belong to the same company.
- If the part to be issued is auto-repairable,
information related to the repair work order to be created (object site,
object ID, directive, maintenance organization site and maintenance
organization) must be entered.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a pick list is created, and
material is reserved and available for a work order at the required time.
