Change Work Task Status to Work Started
Explanation
This activity is used to change the status of a work task to Work Started.
The work that is planned to be performed according to the work task can be started.
Prerequisites
Before the status is changed, the following must have been completed:
- The current work task must have been prepared and retrieved in the window.
System Effects
- The status of the work task is changed to Work Started.
- It is possible to set the status to Work Done, back to Released status or to
Cancel the work task.
- A journal entry is created for this event. Journal entries are generated in the Journal tab found in the
Prepare Work Order and Report In Work Order windows.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to change the status using the
Work Task window.
- Open the
Work Task window.
- Query for the work task. (F3)
- Right-click, point to Status and then click Work Started on the top part of the window.
Use the following procedure to change the status using the
Work Tasks,
Prepare Work Order or the
Work Order
Structure window
- Open the
Work Tasks window, or alternatively select the
Work Task tab in the
Prepare Work Order or the
Work Order
Structure window.
- Query the work order and then select the appropriate work task. (F3)
- Right-click, point to Status and then click Work Started.
