Enter Work Task Templates
Explanation
Use this activity to connect multiple work task templates to a work order. This is
useful if you want to create work orders for typical, frequently performed jobs,
that use the same kind of resources, i.e., personnel and material.
After connecting
a work task template, all data previously entered for the work task template is copied
to the work order. You can also enter a standard text if you want to use a typical
work description only.
Work Task templates can be selected from the list of
corrective actions defined for the item class which is connected to the work
order if necessary.
Prerequisites
- Work Task Templates must exist in IFS/Basic Data for Maintenance.
If selecting work task templates from an item class,
- The corrective actions defined on the item class must belong to the same
site as the work order.
- The item class and symptom must be connected to the work order in
the Prepare Work Order/General
tab.
- The cause which is connected to the same fault type as the symptom
mentioned above must have
work task templates connected as corrective actions in the
Failure Analysis
Setup Navigator window.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, all information regarding operations, materials,
tool/equipment, and documents that are entered in a work task template will be copied
to the work order.
