Enter Serial to Place

Explanation

Use this activity to select the serial equipment object that is to be moved from inventory to facility.

Prerequisites

Before a serial object is entered, the following must have been completed.

• The repair work order must have been created for the serial object.

System Effects

Serial Object connected to the part will be moved to facility and placed as a child under the defined equipment object.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enter the information:

1. Open the Prepare Work Order window, right click and select Report In or open the Report In Work Order window.
2. Query for the appropriate work order.
3. Right click and select Place Serial in Equipment Structure option.
4. In Place Serial In Equipment Structure dialog enter values for Object ID and Site fields with object information on where the serial object need to be placed in.
5. Enter values for Part No: and Serial No: fields with the serial part which needs to be placed in facility.
6. Modify value in Object ID field of required.
7. Select OK.
