Define Master/Duplicate for multiple Work Orders
Explanation
This activity is used to sort the duplicate tasks on work orders in the
selected work order structure.
This is similar to the functionality described in the activity Define
Master/Duplicate for Work Order, the only difference being that this
function defines duplicates for multiple work orders at the same time.
When the Set WO Structure Master/Duplicate option is used, the system will
navigate through the selected work order and all work orders below in the
structure, and for each occurrence of a duplicate
task set the first occurrence as master and set the others as duplicates.
Prerequisites
- The work order structure must exist.
- Duplicate tasks must exist on the work orders.
- The work order and belonging work tasks cannot be
in either the Work Done or higher status.
- If duplicates are to be defined manually, a master
work task must exist on the work order.
- Material usage, tool usage or
man-hour consumption should not be entered on the work task(s).
System Effects
- A master work task and a subset of duplicate
work tasks are defined for each work order in the selected structure.
- Resource and material requirements will be removed from the duplicate work tasks.
- For improved visibility, duplicate work tasks will be
hidden from some windows and printouts in the application.
