Connect Work Order to Project Activity

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a work order to an existing project activity. Once connected, planned and reported cost, revenues, hours and progress will be reported to the activity through the cost elements.

Procedure

  1. Open the Prepare Work Order window, or the Report In Work Order window.
  2. Query for the relevant work order (F3).
  3. Right-click anywhere on the window, point to Project Connections, and click Connect to Activity. The Connect to Activity dialog box appears.
  4. Enter the program ID, project ID, sub project ID, and the relevant activity sequence. Click List to select the appropriate values.
  5. Click OK. If the work order is successfully connected to a project activity, the Project Connected check box on the General tab will be selected.
