Use this step of the Rename Serial assistant to enter template and/or maintenance program information for the serial. When the part number of a serial is changed, you may need to change the template of the serial as well. At such instances, this assistant step can be used to enter the new template.
Furthermore, this assistant step can be used to enter a new maintenance program and/or a maintenance group for the changed part number or to disconnect the serial from a maintenance program if no valid maintenance program for the new part number and revision exist.
Note: This step of the assistant can be accessed once the part number of the serial is changed.
