Explanation

Usually you work with one IFS Applications page at a time and move between the other pages you are working with by using Recent Screens. It is also possible to work with two or more IFS Application pages at the same time to e.g. compare data or do work with several activities independent of each other.

Procedure

Open New Window

There are several options to open new windows:

• Use the New Window button. The New Window button is placed at the top of the Navigator pane. Click the button and a new window is opened in the work area displaying the start page.

• Hold the Shift key. When you select a page from the navigator, navigator page, shortcut panel hold the Shift key and click to open. This will open a new window with the page you have selected. You can also use this option when you select a page from a context menu. E.g. you are working in the overview page for customer orders, highlight an order, open the context menu and select option Customer Order (details) when holding the Shift key. This will open the customer order detail page in a new window and you can work with details and overview at the same time.
• Use Open in New Window. In the navigator, navigator page and shortcut panel the option Open in New Window is available via the context menu.

Toggle/Arrange Open Windows

If you have more than one window open you can switch between the windows using the Alt and Tab keys.

Open the File Menu via the Alt key. Under Windows there are options to arrange your open windows, e.g. Horizontally, Vertically and Cascade.

Close Windows

You close a window with the X in the right hand corner of the window frame. You can close the open windows one by one. If you close the first window you have opened you are exiting the application and it will close all other windows automatically.
