Use the buttons in the page tool bar to work in the page, e.g. New to enter a new object, Save to save your changes in the database etc. Read more in Using Page Toolbar

If you perform a search or populate a detail page and the search result exceeds the number of objects specified via Application Options/Server tab the question below will be displayed:

Figure 2: Question when search exceeds more than specified number of objects.

If you answer Yes the complete search result will be displayed. This might have an impact on performance, e.g. depending on number of objects in the search result it might take long to display. If you answer No the first 100 objects in the search result will be displayed.

When you have searched for data on a detail page the search result is presented one object at a time. The total number of objects that were fetched is displayed on the top of the page. You can see the complete list of objects in the Record Selector.

When the Record Selector is in its unpinned mode, you can open it using Ctrl + Shift + R or by clicking on the drop-down arrow. To pin the Record Selector to the left/right side of your work area which presents you with a more convenient way of working with the Record Selector, click on the pin icon. You can also use Ctrl + Shift + P to pin the Record Selector when it is in its unpinned mode.

You can navigate through the list of objects that were fetched using Ctrl + Arrow Up/Arrow Down, without having to open the Record Selector.

Record Selector

You can work with the Record Selector either in its pinned mode or the unpinned mode.

The pinned mode of the Record Selector presents you with a more convenient way of working with a set of objects that were fetched, while providing you with additional features compared to when the Record Selector is in its unpinned mode. For more information on how to use the Record Selector in its pinned mode, visit the page Using the Record Selector in its Pinned Mode.

The unpinned mode of the Record Selector provides you with the advantage of having more space on the work area. You might prefer to use this mode when working on a device with a smaller screen.
