Define Absence Parameter Values for Employee

Explanation

This activity is used to link employee with absence parameters and to specify applicable values.

Prerequisites

In order to enter absence parameter values, absence parameters are required to be defined in the Absence Parameter Type window.

Procedure

To define absence limit parameters to employee;

  1. Open the Absence window. Query or populate to find the required employee.
  2. Go to the Absence Parameters/Absence Limit Parameters tab.
  3. Select an absence group from the list in the Group ID field.
  4. Create a new record in the table and enter an absence type ID in the relevant field.
  5. In the Limit Parameter Type field, select a value from the list to specify how the absence limits generated for the absence type.
  6. Enter values in Date From and Date To fields to specify the validity of the parameter.
  7. In the Param Value field, enter the value by which the generated absence limits for the absence type should be increased or reduced. A positive value will increase the limit and a negative value will decrease the limit.
  8. Save the information.

To enter other parameters for employee;

  1. Select an employee in the Absence window as you did in the previous procedure.
  2. Go to the Absence Parameters/Employee Absence Parameters tab and create a new record in the table.
  3. Enter a value in the Parameter ID field. Use the list to select values defined in the Absence Parameter Type window.
  4. Enter a value in the Parameter Value field.
  5. Save the information.
