Use this window to view the tax templates that exist in the application. Information relating to system-defined tax templates cannot be edited in this window. However, it is possible to edit information relating to user-defined tax templates. If a template is system-defined, the System Defined check box will be selected for that template to indicate that.
This window can be used to open the Tax Template Basic Specific Info window in which specific information relating to a selected tax template can be viewed. This is done by selecting the tax template of which you want to view specific information, right-clicking and then clicking Basic Specific Info.
If the value in the field Template Field Ctrl is Mandatory or Can for a tax template, the Field Control Basic right mouse button option in this window can be used to open the Tax Template Field Control Basic window which displays detailed information relating to the fields of the template.
If the value in the field Template Col Ctrl is Mandatory or Can for a tax template, the Column Control Basic right mouse button option in this window can be used to open the Tax Template Column Control Basic window which displays detailed information relating to the columns of the template.
The Tax Templates window can be used to copy existing templates to create new templates by right-clicking and then clicking Copy Tax Template Basic. This window can also be used to obsolete system defined tax templates.
