Use this dialog box to reserve material for shop orders. You can reserve material for the entire shop order or line by line. You can also use this dialog box to reserve only the materials needed up to a specified date and reserve materials to manufacture a specified parent quantity. Additionally, you can order an availability check and create the pick list.
Further, this dialog box can be used to reserve material linked to a specific operation by selecting only the Reserve Operation Material check box. If you link material to the operation where it is used, you do not need to reserve material too far ahead in time. This ensures that material is not locked up for an unnecessarily lengthy time period.
