Create Pick List
Explanation
When handling shipments with
inventory parts, they need to be reserved and
picked on a specific inventory location. Whenever the parts are reserved, a pick list
needs to be used
in order to inform the
inventory staff of what and how much
to pick for each specific
shipment.
There will be seperate pick lists created for each
location group, and for each reservation source. i.e. pick list lines connected
to customer orders and pick list lines connected to project deliverable shipment
plans will be in seperate pick lists.
It is also possible to create pick
lists for consolidated shipments, in which case seperate pick lists will be
generated for each shipment connected to consolidated shipment.
Prerequisites
- At least one shipment line must have
inventory
reservations.
System Effects
- Pick list(s) will be generated for every location group
and reservation source.
- Pick List will be available for printing
- Depending on the backorder option selected for the
customer orders and package parts, it will not be possible to create pick lists for partially reserved orders and order lines.
It should be noted that the backorder option feature applies only to
inventory sales parts.
- Creating the pick list for consolidated shipment(s) will create pick
lists for each shipment connected to the consolidated shipment.
- Any optional events, defined to
be executed at pick list creation in the shipment flow, will be triggered.
Then the next event in the shipment flow will be triggered if the shipment
type allows this.
