Release Service Quotation

Explanation

This activity is used to release a service quotation. Only one revision of a quotation can be in the Released status.

Prerequisites

• To perform this activity, the service quotation must be in the Under Preparation status.
• If work order service lines are defined in the quotation and the work order is not an estimate, a Sales Part No must be defined in Quotation Totals.

System Effects

• The service quotation is set to the Released status.
• Optionally, a quotation letter can be printed in conjunction with the release of the quotation.
• If a previously released revision of the quotation exists, it is set to the Obsolete status automatically.

Procedure

1. Open the Service Quotation window and query for the service quotation.
2. Right-click, point to Status, and then click Release. The Release Quotation dialog box is opened.
3. If the quotation letter should not be printed, clear the Print Quotation Letter check box.
4. Click OK.
