Connect Modification Code to Sales Part

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a modification code to a sales part. If no part number is given for the modification code, the sales part applies to that modification code for all part numbers. If a part number is defined, the sales part only applies to the modification code for that part number.

Prerequisites

• Non-inventory sales parts must be defined.
• Modifications must be defined in the Define Modification window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the sales part is connected to a modification code which will be available when the sales part is connected to a service quotation line and the quoted work is invoiced.

Procedure

1. Open the Non-Inventory Sales Part window and query for the sales part.
2. Click the Connect Services tab and then click the Modification tab.
3. Double-click on the table to create a new record.
4. Enter a value in the Mod Code field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
5. Optionally, enter a value in the Part Number field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
6. Save the record. (F12)
