Revaluate Periodic Price

Explanation

Use this activity to revaluate existing periodic price lines.

Prerequisites

• A revaluation type should be entered in Service Contract/Invoice Parameters tab.
• The periodic price line should have the Accepted status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity a new periodic price line with the new price will be displayed in the Service Contract/Services (or Part Service or Vehicle Services tab) and receive the Revaluating status (the new record will also be available in the Periodic Prices window). If you chose to accept the changes the status will be set to Accepted. If you chose to rollback the changes then the new periodic price line will be removed. Alternatively if you perform the revaluation on multiple price lines via the Revaluation of Periodic Price Lines dialog box you can set all periodic price lines that fit the specified criteria to the Revaluating status and further select the Accept Revaluation check box to set all the price lines to the Accepted status.

Procedure

To revaluate a single periodic price line:

1. Open the Service Contract window and query for a record (F3).
2. Next click the Services tab (or Part Service or Vehicle Services) tab and select the service line that has the periodic price to be revaluated.

Note: Alternatively, in place of steps 1 and 2 above you can open the Periodic Prices window, query for a record and proceed with the following steps.

3. Select the relevant periodic price, right-click and click Price Change for Periodic Prices.
4. Enter a revaluation date in the dialog box that appears.
5. Change the values in the Percentage % and Revaluation Text fields if required.
6. Based on the value entered in step 5 the New Amount will be calculated, change this value and New Quantity if required. Click OK.
7. Select the new periodic price line that is displayed in the relevant tab or window, right-click and click Accept Price Change to accept the new price or Rollback Price Change to reject it.

To revaluate multiple periodic price lines:

1. Open the Revaluation of Periodic Price Lines dialog box.
2. To schedule the revaluating of the periodic price lines, click Schedule and follow the steps in the wizard that appears including steps 3-5. To revaluate the periodic price lines directly follow steps 3-5.
3. Enter values in all or some of the available fields depending on your requirement.
4. If only the Create Revaluation checkbox is selected the periodic price lines will get the Revaluating status. If Accept Revaluation check box is selected separately or together with Create Revaluation checkbox, the periodic price lines will get status Accepted.
5. Click OK.
