Explanation

Prerequisites

• This activity is applicable in IFS Aurena.
• You must have view access to the document
• If you want to open the view copy, a read-only copy of the document must be checked in together with the original document. This is only supported in IFS Enterprise Explorer client only. You also need a viewer that supports your view copy file format (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Reader™).

System Effects

• After selecting a document for viewing, the system searches for the file and determines if you have view access to the document. Then, the application is opened and the file is displayed. 
• Document files that are checked in to the document revision (original or view copy) are downloaded. The downloaded folder path will depend on the browser. (E.g. in Google Chrome browser this path can be set in Customize and Control Google chrome\Settings\Downloads\Location.).

Procedure

1. Open the Document Details page and search for the document revision you wish to view.
2. Click Download. A copy of the file is downloaded to view.

If a view copy also checked in to the document from IFS Enterprise Explorer,

1. Click Download, open the Select Document Type to View dialog box
2. Select either Original Document or View Copy. 
3. A copy of selected file will be downloaded and file will be named using Document Title and Name.

Note: You can also view the original files by selecting them in the Document Overview and My Document Approvals pages. File operations on multiple documents, Document Macros and Document Process Actions are not supported in IFS Aurena client. Also operations involving extended files are not supported.
