Enter Win and Lose Reasons

Explanation

This activity is used to enter a list of reasons for winning or losing a sales quotation or business opportunity. These are used when a quotation or an opportunity is closed and a win or lose reason must be entered. You can also specify the business objects in which a particular win or lose reason is used.

As a result of this activity, a win or lose reason is defined. The reason will be one of the options you can access by using the List of Values in the Close Opportunity, Quotation Lost or Opportunity Lost dialog box.

Procedure

  1. Select the Sales Basic Data/Win and Lose Reasons tab.
  2. Enter the code for the reason in the Reason ID field.
  3. Enter a description of the reason in the Reason Description field.
  4. Enter the type of reason, Win or Lose, in the Reason Type field.
  5. In the Used By field select the applicable business objects from the Used By list.
  6. Save when completed.
