Reject Quotation

Explanation

Use this activity to reject a quotation. Reject is an intermediate step before the quotation gets Won or Lost state. Rejecting a quotation is only possible from the header level.

When a quotation is rejected, rejected note should be entered in the Reject Quotation dialog box. Rejected note will be stored in Won/Lost/Rejected Note field in Sales Quotation/General tab. When a rejected quotation is modified a new revision will be created if changes are done on the fields which triggers a new revision creation. When a new revision is created from a rejected quotation, the Won/Lost/Rejected Note field gets cleared, but rejected note is displayed in Sales Quotation/Quotation History tab.

The Release for Planning check box exists on the sales quotation line in rejected status behaves similarly to when the quotation line is in released status.

System Effects

The status of the sales quotation header is set to Rejected and all quotation lines with Released status will get Rejected status. Rejected Note is stored in Won/Lost/Rejected Note field in General tab.

Procedure

  1. Display the quotation that you want to reject via the Populate or Query function.
  2. Right-click and click Reject Quotation. The Reject Quotation dialog box will be displayed.
  3. Enter rejected note.
  4. Click OK. The quotation is rejected.
