Enter Package Part

Explanation

This activity is used to enter a package part. Package parts are a structure or a set of parts, which could consist of different types of sales parts.

Procedure

  1. Open the Package Part window and enter a new record.
  2. Enter a sales part number, description and specify the site.

In the General tab:

  1. Enter values for sales UoM, sales price group and sales group. This can be done manually or selected from the List of Values.
  2. Optionally, enter values for the required fields.
  3. The price is retrieved from the Package Part/Package Components tab.
  4. The Active check box is selected by default. Clear this check box if the part should not be used in the system.
  5. Select the Taxable check box if tax is applicable for the package part.
  6. Select the Export to External Application check box, to enable transferring the package part to an external application.
  7. Save the record.
