Replace Characteristic Value

Explanation

The Replace Characteristic Value dialog box allows you to replace a specific characteristic value in all selected configurations.  

In the dialog box you have to enter the characteristic you would like to change the value for.

Prerequisites

• A customer order header, sales quotation header or business opportunity header with at least one configured line must exist.
• All selected order lines must have a configuration.
• Both Characteristic and Characteristic Value must exist for all selected configurations.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, all the selected configuration will change their characteristic values

Sales Rule for each configuration will be executed and can result in even other configuration changes. 

An update of a characteristic value implies a change of the configuration id. If the configuration isn’t unique then the configuration id will be set to the existing matching id.

Procedure

1. Select the lines to which you want to replace a characteristic value.
2. Right-click and point to Configuration, then click Replace Characteristic Value. The dialog box opens.
3. Enter the characteristic you would like to change the value for.
4. Enter the new value for the characteristic.
5. Click OK.
