Connect Projects, Contracts and Additional Objects
Explanation
A project, sales contract, sub contract and some other
objects can be connected to a risk analysis as a way of helping you to address
the risk posed by them. The most common connections are to a project, sales or
sub contract and they can be entered in the risk analysis header. While
the connections that are entered in the header are validated, the others will be
for reference only. All the objects connected will be displayed in the
Analysis Controls/Connected Objects tab.
Prerequisites
- The project should exist as a record in IFS/Project Management at the time of
connection.
- IFS/Sales Contract Management should be installed before a
sales contract can be appended to the risk analysis.
- IFS/Sub Contract Management should be installed before a sub
contract can be appended to the risk analysis.
- The rest of the objects should exist as a record
in IFS Applications at the time of connection.
System Effects
- A project, sales or sub contract connection will
have an impact on the risk analysis detail information if there has not been
a prior connection to a project, sales or sub contract.
- If the current risk owner and
customer of the risk analysis differ from the project in the risk
analysis header, these values will be replaced with the values defined
in the project that has been entered in the header.
- If a program has been defined on the project that is connected to the
risk analysis, the risk analysis will inherit the Program ID and
Program
Description.
- If any additional objects have been
connected they will be displayed in the
Analysis Controls/Connected Objects tab.
