Process Business Opportunity

Explanation

This activity is used to process a business opportunity through the different stages of the sales process.

Prerequisites

• An opportunity header must have been entered and saved.
• A process must have been selected for the opportunity.

System Effects

• Stages and actions will be created when the opportunity is confirmed.
• The opportunity will be processed to the last stage.

Enter Data

Procedure

1. Make sure that the correct process are used and then confirm the Business Opportunity.
2. Open the Business Opportunity/Sales Process tab. The first stage should be selected.
3. Select an action. If data entry is required, right-click and then click Enter Data to update the required fields.
4. Optionally, enter action references. You can create Business Activity, Sales Quotation, Customer Order, Service Quotation or Sales Contraction from an action.
5. If approval is needed, right-click and then click Request Approval. A user with the right access must then approve the action.
6. Set the action to done if it has not been updated automatically.
7. Repeat step 3 to 6 until all actions are done.
8. Set the stage to done to move to the next stage.
9. Repeat step 3 to 8 until all stages are done.
