Define Tool

Explanation

Use this activity to define which tools will be used for a specific control plan or control plan template.

Prerequisites

The control plan or control plan template must be in the Created status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, one or many tools will be connected to a control plan. The tool or tools will be possible to connect to one or several data points in the control plan.

Connect Tool

Procedure

1. Open the Control Plan - Inventory, Control Plan - Manufacturing, Control Plan - Purchasing or Control Plan - Template window and click the Tool tab.
2. Click the Define sub tab.
3. Create a new record by clicking New.
4. Enter a tool ID in the Tool ID field or select one from the List of Values.
5. Save the information.
