Modify Safety
Lead Time
Explanation
Use this activity to change the safety lead time of the inventory-registered
purchase parts. This will modify the safety lead time available in
Planning tab of the Inventory Part window. Safety lead time defined for the primary supplier
will be considered.
Prerequisites
- Purchase
part should be registered as inventory part.
- Purchase
part should be connected to primary supplier
- Safety
lead time should be defined in From Supply Site tab
or
From External Supplier
tab of Supply Chain
Matrix for Site window or
To Demand Site
tab of Supply Chain
Matrix for Supplier window.
System Effects
Safety lead
time will be updated in
the Planning
tab of the Inventory Part
window.

Procedure
- Open the
Modify
Safety Lead
Time dialog box.
- Enter Site
or select using list of values.
- Enter
Supplier or select using list of values if you wish to update safety lead
time for one specific primary supplier.
- Click
OK.
