Release Activity

Explanation

The Release menu option releases the selected project activity so that it can be started. Releasing an activity changes its status from Planned to Released. You can only register hours and cost on a released activity.

Prerequisites

• The activity must be in Planned status.
• The project must be in Approved status.

System Effects

• The activity is in Released status.
• Cost and hours can be registered on the activity.
• The Release Date is set to the current date.
• The activity can be set to either Canceled or Completed from this status.

Procedure

Select the project activity to be released, then click on the Release menu option in the menu.
