Perform Activity

Explanation

The work that has been planned on an activity can be performed as actions that are continued in other product areas of IFS Applications and as actions in real life operations.

While some of the processes in these product areas use IFS/Project Management as a starting point, others use it as a follow through in the process flow. Processing of a customer order or purchase order in the application is an example of how IFS/Project Management collaborates with processes in other product areas. A few are listed below:

Refer the Project Management process description for further information regarding these processes.

Actual work such as building a wall, painting the house, manufacturing or buying a part etc., for which the progress can be reported on the object being executed (such as a shop orders, work orders, tasks etc.), or be reported manually direct to the activity. When objects connected to an activity are executed and project transactions are created, cost, hours, revenue and progress information will be retrieved and displayed per cost/revenue element for the activity.
