Set Object Property for enabling the Copy to Equipment or Copy to Asset Design

Explanation

Use this activity to enable the copy to either Equipment or Asset Design.

Prerequisites

System Effects

Setting the property COPY_TO_MAINTANANCE to YES:

• Enables the option for copying to Equipment.
• Disables the option for copying to Asset Design.
• Disables plant and class information to be defined.
• Shows the Project Deliverables Definition/Tags tab and the Project Deliverables Navigator/Tags tab.
• Hides the Project Deliverables Navigator/Design Object tab.

Setting the property COPY_TO_MAINTANANCE to NO:

• Enables the option for copying to Asset Design
• Disables the option for copying to Equipment.
• Enables plant and class information to be defined.
• Shows the Project Deliverables Navigator/Design Object tab.
• Hides the the Project Deliverables Definition/Tags tab and the Project Deliverables Navigator/Tags tab.

Procedure

Enable Copy to Asset Design:

1. Open the System Definitions/Object Property tab.
2. Search for the property name COPY_TO_MAINTANANCE.
3. Set the property value to NO and save the changes.
4. Restart the IFS Enterprise Explorer and notice the following:

• The option Copy to Asset Design is enabled in the Project Deliverables Navigator/General tab.
• The option Copy to Equipment is disabled in the Project Deliverables Navigator/General tab.
• Class field is enabled in the Project Deliverables Navigator/General tab and Components tab.
• Plant field is shown and enabled in the Project Deliverables Definition window.

Enable Copy to Equipment:

1. Open the System Definitions/Object Property tab.
2. Search for the property name COPY_TO_MAINTANANCE.
3. Set the property value to YES and save the changes.
4. Restart the IFS Enterprise Explorer and notice the following:

• The option Copy to Asset Design is disabled in the Project Deliverables Navigator/General tab.
• The option Copy to Equipment is enabled in the Project Deliverables Navigator/General tab.
• Class field is disabled in the Project Deliverables Navigator/General tab and Components tab.
• Plant field is not shown in the Project Deliverables Definition window.
