Filter Items by using Navigation Model

Explanation

Use this activity to filter project deliverable items in the Project Deliverable Navigator window, by using predefined navigation models.

Procedure

1. Open the Project Deliverables Navigator window.
2. Search for a project deliverable item.
3. Open the Navigation Model list and select a model.
4. Expand the tree to see how the model is filtered based on the selected navigation model.
5. Click on an attribute value item, in the tree (shown with a circle symbol), and notice the following:

• The attribute value item is shown with a circle symbol, to distinguish between the deliverable items, as shown with the rhomb symbol.
• The Item Type is selected as Attribute .
• Right-menu options in the General tab are disabled for attribute value items.
• The Defaults tab and Components tab are disabled for attribute value items.
• The Navigation Items tab is enabled and shows project deliverable items, connected to the selected attribute value.

6. Open the Navigation Items tab and review detail information about project deliverable items.
7. Click on a project deliverable item, in the tree (shown with a rhomb symbol), and notice the following:

• Right-menu options in the General tab are enabled for deliverable items.
• The Navigation Items tab is disabled for deliverable items.
• The Defaults tab and Components tab are enabled for deliverable items.

8. Open the Components tab and review components, for the selected project deliverable item.
