Create Work Order

Explanation

Use this activity to create a work order.

Prerequisites

A work package should have been created and released.

System Effects

The work order will be created and added the following information:

• Work task plans connected to the work package are created as work tasks. Values for Maintenance Organization and Duration are transferred from work task plan to work task.
• Resources on the work task plan are created as resources on work tasks. Values for Resource Group and Planned Quantity are transferred from work task plan's resources to work task resources.
• Materials on work task plan are created as materials on the work order.

Procedure

Create a work order in Project Deliverables/Navigator/Work Tasks/Work Packages tab:

1. Open Project Deliverables/Navigator/Work Tasks/Work Packages tab.
2.  Right-click and then click Create Work Order.
3. Click OK to confirm information message and Work Order number.

The work order can now be further processed, as described in Work Order Planning and Work Order Execution.

Create a work order in Work Package window:

1. Open the Work Package window and search for an approved work package and where it has connected work task.
2. Right-click and then click Create Work Order.
3. Click OK to confirm information message and Work Order number.

The work order can now be further processed, as described in Work Order Planning and Work Order Execution.
