Create Item Guidelines

Explanation

Use this activity to create guidelines on item operations.

Prerequisites

A project deliverable item must have been created and defined with item operations.

System Effects

Guidelines defined on item operations will be automatically copied to shop order, during the sourcing process of project deliverable items.

Procedure

1. Open the Project Deliverables Navigator window and populate it with values.
2. Open the General tab or Components tab.
3. Select an item where operations are enabled. (Item operations are enabled when the check-box Use Project Operations is ticked.)
4. Right-click and then click Project Operations.
5. Right-click on an operation and then click Work Guidelines
6. Create a new record and enter mandatory values for Guideline Description and Guideline Text.
7. Save the changes.
