Copy Product Structure

Explanation

Use this activity to create a project deliverables structure by copying it from a product structure.

Prerequisites

A part with a product structure should have been entered on project deliverable item. Product structure should have the status Buildable. How to create a product structure with status Buildable is describe here: Maintain Structure.

Procedure

Copy product structure in Project Deliverables Navigator/General tab or Project Deliverables Navigator/Components or Project Deliverables Navigator/Navigation Items tab:

1. Open the Project Deliverables Navigator window and populate it with values.
2. Open the General tab or Components or Navigation Items tab.
3. Right-click and then click Copy Product Structure/One Level or All Levels. This opens the Copy from Product Structure dialog.
4. Enter Structure Revision or select from List of Values.
5. Click OK.
6. Expand the tree to see the new project deliverable structure.
