Copy Estimates from Planning Item

Explanation

Use this activity to copy estimates from an existing planning item.

Prerequisites

Planning items should have been created, as described here: Create Material Plan.

Procedure

1. Open the Project Deliverables Navigator window and populate it with values.
2. Open the Planning Items tab.
3. Create a new record and select execution type Estimate, from the list.
4. Enter a planning item name.
5. Save the record.
6. In the lower part of the window, right-click on the header in Cost/Hours tab.
7. Select Copy from Planning Item option.
8. In the Copy from Planning Item dialog, enter an Item No and Planning Item No, or select from List of Values.
9. Click OK.
10. In the Cost/Hours tab, review the added values for cost and hours.
