Review Maintenance Order Journal

Explanation

This activity is used to review the journal entries created for a maintenance order.

For ease of viewing, the entries are sorted by a valid journal category, e.g., Info, Mx Event Removed, and Changed Grouping ID. Furthermore, additional information on the entry is displayed in the Journal Text field. For example, when a maintenance order is released, the journal entry will be created with the Info category and the Journal Text field for the record will display the date the maintenance order was released as well as any information entered when releasing the maintenance order.

Following is a list of changes that lead to the creation of a journal entry:

Journal Category Journal Entry

  • When a modification is set to the Obsolete status. This applies to maintenance orders in the Initial Scope Definition and Under Preparation statuses.
  • When the maintenance program is changed for a serial or a maintenance program is set to the Obsolete status. This applies to maintenance orders in the Initial Scope Definition and Under Preparation statuses.
  • When the revision is changed on a serial. This applies to maintenance orders in the Initial Scope Definition and Under Preparation statuses.
  • When a serial is renamed. This applies to maintenance orders in the Initial Scope Definition and Under Preparation statuses.
Changed Grouping ID A journal entry with this category is created when the grouping ID is changed on a maintenance order that is in the Under Preparation status.
