Connect Task Cards to Maintenance Events
Explanation
This activity is used to connect task cards to the events on a maintenance
order. This is done when there exists an event without any predefined task cards.
It can also be done when you want to connect additional task cards to an event.
When a maintenance order is set to the Under
Preparation status, predefined active task cards (task cards and subtasks)
will be connected to all assigned events, and the events will be set to the
Under Preparation status. However, if predefined task cards do not exist for
one or more events, the event will be set to the Incomplete status instead. At such instances you need to manually connect
task cards to these events
before the events can be set to the Under Preparation or Released status.
All connected events must be in the Under Preparation status before the
maintenance order can be released.
Prerequisites
- Task cards must exist for
the part revision of the serial defined on the event(s) without task cards.
- The
event to which the task card is to be connected cannot be
in either the Work Done or Finished status.
- The resources and material on the task card must be valid at the
maintenance order site. For resources, the site connection is set in the
Resource Detail/Connections/Site tab.
System Effects
- Task cards and subtasks will be added to the maintenance event along
with the connected resources and material.
- If demands have been released on the maintenance order, resource
activities will be generated for the resources on the task card. If material
demands exist on the task card, these demands will be released.
- If task cards are added to a fault event on a
maintenance order, the task cards will be added automatically to the
task card list of the fault.
If the distribution type defined on the maintenance order is Execution Logic
Structure,
- and the task card is added to an event in
the Under Preparation, Released or Started status, this
task card and connected subtasks will be mapped automatically into the
correct execution logic orders (ELOs) in the execution logic structure for the maintenance order. If the task card does not fit
any of the defined ELOs, it will be moved into the Ungrouped Task Cards node.
- If multiple resources are defined on the task card or subtask, and
sorting is done on resources, the task card or subtask will be coped to each
ELO node corresponding to the resource on the task card.
- and the task card is added to an event that is in
either the Released or Started status, the task card will also
be mapped to the correct ELO work order in IFS/Work Order Management.
