Unreserve Temporary Inventory
Explanation
This activity is used to unreserve parts that are stored in DOP temporary
inventory. This can be used when you want to re-prioritize the completed parts
to another order. Parts stored in temporary inventory are parts that are
completed from a supply order but not yet reserved to the supply order for the
parent DOP order, or to the pegged customer order line.
Prerequisites
This activity requires that there exist parts in temporary inventory for the
DOP order.
System Effects
As a result of this activity:
- Completed parts stored in temporary inventory are unreserved. I.e. the
parts will be available in stock for reservation to other orders.
- The completed quantity on the DOP order is reduced, thus creating a
demand for re-supplying the unreserved quantity.
