Study MRP Part Information by Periodic Template

Explanation

Use this activity to view information about planned receipts/deliveries and gross requirements for parts by using periods specified by a template. It is possible to recalculate the details for the desired template from this tab.

Prerequisites

The material requirements calculation must have been performed for the part. The period template must have been defined.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system displays gross demands for a part using periods specified by a template.

Recalculate Period Template

Select Period Template

Procedure

  1. Open the MRP Part Information window.
  2. Search for the part for which you want to study the specified information.
  3. Click the Gross Requirements by Template tab to view gross requirements for the part calculated by MRP using periods specified by a template. If a default template exists for the site with which the selected part is associated, it is used to display the gross requirements information.
  4. To change the period template, right-click the header of the Gross Requirements by Template tab and then select Select Period Template. The Select Period Template dialog box is opened. Select the period template in the Template ID field. Click List to select from available period templates. Click OK.
  5. To update the period template details, right-click on the header of the Gross Requirements by Template tab and then select Recalculate Period Template. Select the begin date for the first period in the Period 1 Begin Date field and select the calendar in the Calendar ID field. Click List to select from available calendars.
  6. Click OK.
