Connect MRP Part to Spare Part Family

Explanation

This activity is used to connect MRP parts to a spares family and to help determine the outcome of the disaggregation process.

Note: Parts belonging to different sites can belong to the same spares family.

Prerequisites

• A spares family must have been created.
• MRP parts must have been created in Inventory Part.

System Effects

As a result of this activity,

• The system connects MRP parts to a spares family.
• The percentage of Spares Family Forecast this part receives is determined by the value entered in the Qty Per field.

Procedure

1. Open the MRP Spare Part Family Forecast window.
2. Select the required spares family in the Family Code list.
3. Create a new record in the Family Parts tab.
4. Enter the required site in the Site field or select using the List of Values.
5. Select the MRP part to connect to the spares family in the Part No field, using the List of Values.
6. Enter a value in the Qty Per field. This determines the percentage of the Spares family forecast this part will receive when disaggregation is performed.
7. Save the record.
