Headcount Plan
Usage
Use this window to create a headcount plan for your organization. Headcount
is planned for an entire organization structure. It can be created for both
standard and matrix organizations. Each headcount is created for a single year,
but can have many versions.
When a new plan is created through a right-click action, it will be in the
Preliminary status, which means that it is being worked on. When a
plan is ready, it can be moved to the Completed status, meaning
it can be, e.g., reviewed by a supervisor. If a supervisor doesn't like it or
the plan should be changed, it can be re-planned via a right click action. In
the end, one of the prepared plans should be Approved as the
final one. Only when all organization units are approved, the status of the
entire plan will change. Note that only one plan can be approved.
If changes have
to me made to the approved plan, it can be re-planned as well.
Following righ-click actions are available from the header:
- Create New Headcount Plan - Opens the
Create New Headcount Plan dialog box where you can create a
new plan.
- Generate Initial Headcount Plan Data - Opens the
Create Initial Headcount Plan Data dialog box
where you can select what initial data will be generated for your plan.
- Headcount Plan Details - Opens the
Headcount Plan Details window, where the currently selected
headcount plan will be loaded.
- Copy Headcount Plan - Opens the Generate
Initial Headcount Plan dialog, where you can copy data from
the currently selected headcount plan to different year or a different
version of the plan for the same year.
- Complete - Completes the headcount plan for the
currently selected organization unit. This prevents any changes from being
made to the unit.
- Complete (with Subordinates) -
Completes the headcount plan for the selected organization unit and all of
its subordinate units. This prevents them from being changed.
- Approve - Approves the headcount plan for the currently
selected organization unit. Note that only one headcount plan can have the
Approved status.
- Approve (with Subordinates) - Approves the headcount
plan for the currently selected organization unit and all of its
subordinates. Note that only one headcount plan can have the
Approved status.
- Back to Preliminary - Brings back the status of the selected unit to
Preliminary, allowing changes to be made.
- Set as Replaced - Changed the status of the selected
approved plan to Replaced. This option is used to mark a
plan as obsolete, meaning it should not be corrected, just replaced with a
new plan.
- Graphical Organization Structure - Opens the
Graphical Organization Structure window, where the
currently selected structure will be loaded.
- Graphical Position Structure - Opens the
Graphical Position Structure window, where the the currently
selected structure will be loaded.
