Specify Procedure
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new cost allocation procedure.
A cost allocation procedure is defined and performed
for a selected accounting period.
Prerequisites
In order to
perform this activity:
- Company periodical cost allocation information should have been entered in
the Periodical Cost Allocation tab in
the
Company window.
- You should not have another procedure with the same allocation type,
accounting year, accounting period and ledger ID.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a cost allocation
procedure is created with the Defined status. It is possible to add
distributions, factors and steps to procedures of this status.

Procedure
To enter a new cost allocation procedure:
- Open Cost Allocation Procedures
window and create a new record.
- Enter relevant values in the
Accounting Year and Accounting Period fields.
- Select either Actual or Budget for the
Allocation Type field.
- If you selected Actual as the allocation type,
select a value from the List of Values for the Voucher Type field. If
you selected Budget as the allocation type, select appropriate values
in the Source Budget and Destination Budget fields.
- Save the information.
