Specify Factor
Explanation
This activity is used to specify
factors for a selected cost allocation procedure. A factor is a percentage used for creation of voucher rows that are
parts of the original value.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity, a cost allocation
procedure should exist.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a factor will be available for the procedure.
The status of the factor will be Defined if you select Automatic
factor type for the factor. If you select Manual or Static as
the factor type, the status of the factor will be Prepared.

Procedure
To specify a factor:
- Open the PCA Factors window
and search for the procedure for which you want to specify a factor. (You
can also open the PCA Factors window
by right-clicking in the
Cost Allocation Procedures
window.)
- Create a new record in the table.
- Enter an ID and a description for the new factor in
the Factor ID and Description fields.
- Select a value for the Factor Type field to
specify a factor type for the factor.
- Select a value for the Factor
Result Type field.
- If you selected Manual or Static as the
factor type, enter a percentage in the Value(%) field.
- Save the information.
- If you selected Manual or
Static as the factor type,
select the factor, right-click and then click Set
Prepared.
