Print Release to Service Documents

[About Aviation Part Certificate Report] [To Manage Line Maintenance] [To Dispatch Asset and Close Maintenance Visit] [To Execute CRO Work Scope, Shop Order] [To Execute CRO Work Scope, Work Order]

Usage

Use the Print Release to Service Documents assistant to generate and print an aviation part certificate form for a part. The assistant consists of several steps where you will need to enter the information required for the part certificate form. The number and content of the steps in the assistant will vary depending on where in the application the assistant is opened and the type of part certificate that is to be generated.

The first step of the assistant is used to select the type of part certification form that is to be generated. Note: This step will not be displayed if the type of part certification form is predefined from the originating object (e.g., maintenance order).

The second step of the assistant is used to enter the approval certificate type and form type revision that is to be used when generating the part certificate form, and for which you (the current user) are defined as a valid approver. If needed, it is possible to change to another valid approver. When generating a part certificate from a maintenance order, the type of approval reference number will by default be set to Repair Agency Claimed Certificate No. while the approval reference number will be set to the approval certificate number defined in basic data (in Part Certificate Basic Data/Approvals Per Maintenance Organization). These values cannot be changed.

The third step of the assistant is used to enter required information such as the identity of the customer and the type of work performed. If any technical documentation has been used for the work, you can enter the details of the documents in this step. Furthermore, if one or more part certificates have already been generated for the selected serial, you can choose to attach these certificates to the certificate being generated. This means, the previous certificates will be retrieved from IFS Document Management and printed when this assistant is finished and the first certificate is printed.

The fourth step of the assistant is used to enter information on the new part or the part that is to be returned to service. If the part certificate is to be generated for a manufactured part, you will need to enter the relevant design data approval code in this step. If the control specification or drawing number is defined, the manufacturer's code, revision number and revision date are required to be entered in this step. If the part certificate is to be generated for a part that is to be returned to service, you will need to enter the relevant airworthiness regulation code in this step.

The final step of the assistant is used to select whether the part certificate is to be printed or not. You can also choose to print other release to service reports at this stage.
