Prepare Work Task Template
Explanation
This activity is used to enter job descriptions and
categories for a work task template.
Work task templates can be categorized according to the object's object
type, object category, type designation, part
number, item class, and repair code. They can also be categorized as mobilization or
demobilization jobs, to be used in a rental business process. The categorization helps to group similar
work task templates together.
Prerequisites
- Object categories, object types, and type designations should be defined
in Equipment Basic Data.
- Part numbers should be defined in Part.
- Mobilization Codes should be defined in Work Order and PM
Basic Data/Mobilization Codes.
- Jobs should be defined in the
Prepare Work Order/Jobs and Templates.
- Item class should be defined in Failure
Analysis Setup Navigator.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the work task template will be grouped according to
categories.

Procedure
- Open Work Task Template
window.
- Create a new record or query for
an existing one (F3).
- Click the
Prepare tab.
- Enter a job description for the work task template in the
Job Description field.
- Click on the table and create a new record (F5).
- Specify a value in the
Category field.
- Enter a value in the
Identity field, depending
on the value you selected in the Category field. Use the List of
Values to select a suitable value.
- Save the information (F12).
Note: If a work order is selected as the repair order type for a CRO
line and the jobs are predefined in the
Prepare Work Order/Jobs and Templates tab, the
Part No and Repair categories match with the part on the CRO line
and the repair codes are connected to the service type.
