Extend/Shorten Calendar Plan

Explanation

Use this activity to move the planning time forward/backward. You can do this by entering the year where you want to move the planning time frame. This affects the calendar plan for PM actions with calendar generation, so that all the calendar plans will be adjusted according to the new year specified. The new year limit must be later than the system year.

Prerequisites

Before the calendar plan is extended/shortened, the following must have been completed:

• The maintenance calendar plan for PM generation must have been created.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the PM_PLAN_HORIZON will be updated accordingly and all defined calendar plans will be adjusted according to the new year specified.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enter the information:

1. In the New Year Limit field, enter the year to which you want to extend/shorten the maintenance plan.
2. Confirm the operation.

Note: This operation will be performed as background jobs. The Active PM Actions will be grouped into blocks of 500 resulting several background jobs, while the Preliminary PM Actions will be grouped into a single background job. However, it is required to finish all the background jobs, in order to complete the extend/shorten maintenance plan operation.
