Define Scheduling Dependency Attributes

Explanation

This activity is used to define scheduling dependency attributes between dependent work list lines within a particular work task template or PM Action. These attributes will govern the scheduling behavior of pre-requisite activities in Planning and Scheduling Optimization when scheduling work tasks initiated by a work task template or a PM Action.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, scheduling dependency attributes between dependent work lists are defined. The dependency attributes are used to control the scheduling behavior in PSO scheduling for the work tasks initiated by the work task template or PM Action.

  2. Select one or more work list lines for which you want to define dependencies. Right-click and then select Dependencies (Alternatively you can use the List of Values in the Dependencies field). The Dependencies dialog box opens.
  3. Select the check box against the work list line that should act as the dependent work list.
  4. Click Save and Close.
  5. Right-click on the work list line and select Scheduling Dependency Attributes to open the dialog box.
  6. In the dialog box, the dependent work list(s) will be listed.

It is possible to change any of the following attributes All or Nothing, Same Resource, Min. Delay (Minutes), Max. Delay (Minutes), Overlap allowed.
  8. Click OK.
