Position Access Overview

Explanation

This activity is used to inspect the results of the position access configuration done in the Access Definition tab.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, position access has to be defined for a position structure.

Procedure

For a detailed, in-depth overview:

1. Open the Position - Access Setup window.
2. Search or populate to find the relevant position structure.
3. Navigate to the Access Result Table tab.
4. Inspect the data.
   
   Every access relation between a supervising position and the accessible position is displayed on the tab. A single record on the Access Definition tab can translate into dozens of records shown here. The tab displays every access relation between a pair of positions, regulated by an access role. You can display every relation by selecting the All option, or view relations valid only a certain date by selecting the Valid on Date option.

For a high level, graphical overview:

1. Open the Position - Access Setup window.
2. Search or populate to find the relevant position structure.
3. Navigate to the Access Result Graph tab.
4. Inspect the data.
   
   Every position with access rights is displayed here as a graphical object that is connected directly to the root. Accessible positions are displayed as expandable object structures connected to every supervising position at the top.
